About You

The Catalog Specialist in Indirect Procurement is responsible for maintaining accurate data and ensuring smooth operations across the entire Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process—from requisition to invoice. This role oversees all expense-related entries for services and products procured for both internal (Wakefern corporate, managed services, wholesale) and external (ShopRite, PriceRite, The Fresh Grocer, Fairway, Gourmet Garage, Dearborn Markets, Morton Williams) needs.

The Specialist will lead system upgrades, projects, and routine maintenance to enhance efficiency and stay current with technology. As the department’s Oracle/iPro and SAP S/4HANA expert, they will manage system interfaces and act as a liaison with Wakefern Tech and Finance. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities are essential. Essential Job Functions

• Sets-up a vendor’s applicable item (goods or services) information into Oracle and/or SAP ensuring proper categorization, GL account code detail, pricing, description etc.
• Ensures consistent data accuracy for all vendors and items across each ordering method - catalog, non catalog requests or punchouts with monitoring and appropriate audits taken place on a set cadence.
• Working alongside the team of expeditors and Finance to streamline invoice processing via OAN, invoice ingestion & EDI to maximize efficiencies.
• Assists in problem resolution, handling financial or vendor issues or inquires where data does not systematically match, determines appropriate action to resolve the issue and communicates any information to applicable parties as needed.
• Manages the timetable and project plan to ensure the procure to pay process continues to run smoothly and on schedule with new and adaptive technologies being implemented. Managing this project plan requires testing, investigative analytics and troubleshooting any potential problems prior to a go live.
• Hosts training sessions across any capacity for users at both corporate and retail.
• Serves as the department liaison between Indirect staff, Finance and Wakefern Tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s College degree or currently enrolled student with a minimum of 60 or more college credits completed towards a Business Degree.
• Experience in supermarket retail a plus.
• Prior Oracle/iPro experience strongly desired.
• Aptitude for detail, strong analytical/excel and project management skills required.
• Strong customer service skills as well as ability to multitask several projects simultaneously.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to lead important meetings and establish actionable expected outcomes. Comprehends and conveys information clearly and effectively.
• Confident communicator with strong presentation skills, capable of delivering clear and engaging messages to stakeholders.

Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to monitor computer screens for long periods of time.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day Flex) as established by company policy.
• Ability to travel to on-site meetings as needed

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $61,000 to $77,000 per year.

Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
