Monday–Friday, 8-hour days during school hours
Location: Two schools in the North Raleigh area (North Central Wake County)
3 days/week at one school
2 days/week at another school

- Schools may include preschool, elementary, middle, or high school
- Conducting nursing assessments and managing student health needs
- Developing and implementing individualized healthcare plans
- Training and supervising school staff on health-related procedures
- Supporting students with chronic conditions through care coordination
- Collaborating with families, providers, and community partners
- Participating in IEP and 504 meetings for students with medical needs
- Performing vision screenings, referrals, and follow-ups
- Identifying students who may benefit from additional health services

- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
- No specific experience required
- North Carolina Board of Nursing Licensed Registered Nurse
- CPR
- AED
- Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

- 2 years of experience in school health nursing, pediatric nursing, home health, or public health
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Spanish language skills (preferred)
- Valid NC Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to work well with children and families
- Adaptable, organized, self-motivated, and reliable
- Ability to work independently as the only medical professional in the school
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with North Carolina Nursing Practice Act and Delegation Decision Tree
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to plan and organize workload and juggle multiple priorities daily
- Knowledge and familiarity with information technology
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Able to identify problems, determine solutions, and actively work to resolve issues
- Adaptable and open to change
- Excellent nursing documentation skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of small and large groups
