Human Resources Assistant

Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant Pay rate for this role - $20-25/hr DOE

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week

The HR Assistant is responsible for day-to-day HR activities throughout the agency. A primary responsibility of this position is to protect and maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of highly sensitive personnel information.


Qualifications

 

  • Associate’s degree preferred.


  • At least one year of Clerical/Administrative experience.


  • Demonstrated relevant work experience may be an appropriate substitute for education requirement.


  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and accept and benefit positively from direct supervision.

General Duties include but are not limited to

 

  • Assist with hiring activities such as checking references, running background checks for new employees (OIG, Sex Offender, GSA, E-Crim).


  • Responsible for new hire and Job Training Participants orientations.


  • Organize and maintain HR records such as personnel files (current and termination), I-9 files, leave records, EEO, employee training records, etc.


  • Coordinates employee recruitment and hiring activities including advertising, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and checking references.

  • Organizes and maintains Employee Health records; verifies new hire/interns/residents/temps/contractors health clearance prior to start date and annually.
  • Other duties as assigned
