What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Clerk position at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist the Pharmacist(s) in the processing and filling of prescriptions by answering telephone calls and recording customer requests. Process and assist in the maintenance of pharmacy inventory. Perform sales transactions and provide customer/patient/medical staff with appropriate information about medications, health insurance, and other health care related services. Assist with filing and document record keeping maintenance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. One year work experience, preferably as pharmacy clerk
3. Medical terminology
4. Billing experience
5. Customer relations
