Key Responsibilities
- Oversees and assumes full responsibility for the operation of designated Food & Beverage (F&B) outlet(s).
- Manages and oversees servers, bartenders, server assistants, hosts and utility porters to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment; provides delegation of duties to ensure service is delivered to a quality expected of a high-end private club.
- Ensure that all equipment, tools, and furnishings are maintained, repaired, or replaced as needed to uphold a standard of excellence.
- Interviews, hires, and evaluates staff performance.
- Ensures training of each team member at their designated tasks; and crossover training to develop them in other areas. Assures that all employees are trained on the equipment they will be using; and all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Manages labor and expenses in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Schedules employees and reviews and approves employee timesheets.
- Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures. Enforces Club rules, regulations and policies.
- Provides immediate and timely service to members and guests. Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
- Maintains excellent quality and service consistent with Club standards. Observes and ensures compliance with all applicable health, safety and sanitation laws and the rules and regulations of the Honolulu Liquor Commission.
- Attends and contributes to scheduled meetings (e.g.,F&B meetings, BEO meetings, and Club Event meetings.)
- Assists in overseeing and executing Club Events, Member Events and Member Sponsored Events.
- Maintains appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all F&B equipment and facilities. Reports maintenance issues to the facilities department.
- Assists with set-up/break-down and overseeing Food & Beverage service and staffing in the clubhouse and/or skyboxes during the Sony Open.
- Minimum 5 years of F&B management experience including multiple outlets and/or equivalent combination of education/experience. Prior F&B management experience in a private club or hotel setting preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer centric approach.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficient experience utilizing Windows software: Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience utilizing a POS System.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a TB Clearance and Liquor Commission Card.
