Location: Lyford, Texas
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Position Summary

The Kitchen & Refreshment Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to customers while keeping the kitchen and refreshment areas clean, organized, sanitary, and fully stocked.

Employees in this position will be responsible for food service, fountain drinks, bottled and canned beverages, slushie machines, snacks, condiments, cups, lids, straws, and other kitchen supplies.

This is an active position that requires employees to continuously monitor inventory and cleanliness throughout their shift.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take and prepare customer food and beverage orders.
• Serve food according to company standards.
• Prepare simple food items as required.
• Maintain proper food portions and presentation.
• Prepare and serve fountain drinks, bottled drinks, canned drinks, slushies, and other refreshments.
• Regularly check and refill slushie machines.
• Refill fountain drink supplies and replace drink syrups when necessary.
• Keep refrigerators and beverage coolers fully stocked.
• Restock bottled water, sodas, energy drinks, juices, and other beverages.
• Restock snacks, food products, cups, lids, straws, napkins, utensils, condiments, and other supplies.
• Notify management before products or supplies run out.
• Rotate food and beverage inventory so older products are used first.
• Check expiration dates and remove expired or damaged products.
• Keep the kitchen, food preparation areas, counters, sinks, refrigerators, freezers, drink stations, and slushie areas clean.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces regularly.
• Clean slushie and beverage machines according to company procedures.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment when necessary.
• Empty trash and maintain clean trash areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and refreshment areas.
• Immediately clean spills and remove safety hazards.
• Follow proper food-handling and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain proper food temperatures when required.
• Follow company procedures for storing refrigerated and frozen products.
• Report malfunctioning kitchen equipment, refrigerators, freezers, drink machines, or slushie machines.
• Handle small/basic equipment issues when trained and authorized to do so.
• Report larger equipment problems to management.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food and beverage deliveries.
• Keep storage areas organized.
• Help management monitor kitchen and beverage inventory.
• Inform management when inventory is getting low so additional products can be ordered.
• Help prevent unnecessary food waste.
• Follow all company safety, cleanliness, and customer-service standards.
• Assist other employees during busy periods.
• Complete opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned.
• Perform additional reasonable duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Have a clean criminal record and be able to pass a criminal background check, subject to applicable law.

• Be comfortable preparing and serving food.
• Be comfortable working around food, drinks, refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment.

• Be organized and able to monitor inventory.
• Be able to recognize when products need to be restocked.

• Be available to work assigned evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Previous restaurant, kitchen, convenience-store, food-service, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, reach, and perform cleaning duties.
• Regularly move food, beverages, and supplies.
• Lift approximately 25–40 pounds when necessary.
• Work around refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, beverage machines, and slushie machines.
• Work in a fast-paced environment during busy periods.

Employees should not wait until drinks, food, slushies, cups, or other supplies are completely out before restocking them. Inventory levels should be monitored continuously throughout the shift.

The kitchen and refreshment areas should remain clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service throughout operating hours.

Compensation

Starting Wage: $14.00 per hour

Employment and continued employment are subject to company policies, attendance expectations, job performance, background requirements, and applicable laws.
