Position: Producing and General Management Office Intern
Supervisor: Chief of Staff
Wagner Johnson Productions (“WJP”), an award-winning Broadway and Live Event Production and Management Company, is looking for an ambitious and hardworking individual who is passionate about theatre to support the team.
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Producing and General Management Office Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience and professional development opportunities in a fast-paced Broadway Producing and General Management office.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be passionate about theater, and eager to explore the current industry landscape and understand its key players.
- Be discreet, you may be privy to confidential information
- Be able to shift between multiple projects quickly and with agility
- Be enthusiastic about tackling tasks, big or small, including repetitive or labor-intensive dutiesBe an effective and clear communicator
- Be eager to contribute as a team member wherever another set of hands is needed
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Have a can-do, positive attitude
The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the day-to-day needs of the office. Examples of these duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and document management
- Run office errands, including coffee, lunches, package drop-offs, and pick-ups
- Off-site storage unit maintenance and coordination of delivery/pickup
- Answering phones and managing messages
- Collaborate with various team members to ensure effective coordination of tasks
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the office
- Complete ad hoc projects as requested by the team, including assisting company management with day-to-day needs, managing house seat requests, tracking bills, booking rehearsal space, and coordinating travel/housing/immigration needs, preparing rehearsal spaces and housing units, reconciliation of production credit cards, and maintaining office physical and electronic filing systems
Duration and Compensation:
This internship will require 35-40 hours a week at $20/hour, beginning on Monday, August 17th and ending in December 2026 (exact date to be mutually agreed upon).
