Wagner Johnson Productions (WJP), a Broadway producing and general management company, is seeking an Associate General Manager to join our team. The AGM partners closely with our General Manager and Producers across every phase of production, from development through closing.
About the Role
The Associate General Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of theatrical productions from development through closing. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of Broadway/live stage production management, strong financial acumen, and the ability to serve as a strategic liaison across departments. The AGM ensures operational excellence, financial integrity, and seamless communication across the organization while mentoring production teams and establishing best practices that position each show — and the company — for success.
What You’ll Do
· Support production oversight from development through closing, partnering closely with the General Manager and serving as a key liaison across departments
· Contribute to budgeting, financial modeling, cash flow projections, and box office and sales analysis
· Assist with contracts and deal-making across cast, creative, and crew, including offers, riders, and union compliance
· Liaise with and support Company Managers, including onboarding and day-to-day company operations
· Help build and maintain systems, templates, and best practices across the org
· Mentor and support junior production management staff
What You Bring
· 3 years of experience working in General Management offices, as a Company Management or Associate General Manager
· Strong financial and organizational skills
· Familiarity with union agreements and production contracts
· A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000
Comprehensive benefits package, administered through the applicable union or company plan depending on position classification.

SALARY
$150,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
