We are currently accepting applications for a Payroll Administrator. This position is responsible for weekly payroll processing and payroll-related compliance for all divisions, including taxes, garnishments/child support, certified payroll reporting, union reporting, and payroll-related account tie-outs. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll
- Weekly payroll
- Onboarding
- Remit weekly taxes
- Remit weekly garnishments/child support
- Weekly certified payroll reports
- Weekly lodging allowance/per diem
- Quarterly payroll reports
- Monthly union reports
- Annual W-2’s
- Annual ACA reporting
Payroll System Updates
- Updating union fringes/rates
- Craft/class changes
- Annual rate updates (FICA, etc.)
Payroll Administration / Correspondence
- Process payroll tie-out account balances
- Bank reconciliations (payroll-related)
- Benefits (payroll-related setup/maintenance as assigned)
- Child support payments
- PTO balance maintenance
- Misc. correspondence: child support, levies, SUTA
- Tie out payroll G/L accounts monthly/quarterly
DOT Files
- Set up new DOT files
- Background checks
- Driving records (maintain annual driving records & violations)
Audits
- Annual work comp/general liability audits
- Annual WSI audit
- Union audits as required
Job Qualifications:
- Experience processing weekly payroll.
- Experience remitting payroll taxes and handling garnishments/child support.
- Experience producing certified payroll reports and union reporting.
- Experience with payroll reconciliations, including G/L tie-outs and payroll-related bank reconciliations.
- Ability to maintain confidential employee and payroll information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet weekly deadlines.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
- Frequently performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms at the computer.
- Some standing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
