Position Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Carrollwood, Tampa, FL
The Wagging Club is a family owned and operated luxury pet boarding, daycare, and grooming facility in the heart of the Carrollwood neighborhood in Tampa, FL. Founded by a family of dog lovers, The Wagging Club started as a dream to create a haven for pups and cats of all shapes and sizes. With years of experience in pet care and a genuine love for animals, we set out to build a place where dogs and cats can play, relax, and feel right at home. Position Summary: The Front Desk Staff at The Wagging Club serves as the first point of contact for clients and their pets. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners, providin\g excellent customer service, and efficiently managing daily front desk operations. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and passionate about animals.
Pay: $14 - $17 per hour Part-time available
Shifts: M-F 6:30am -1:15pm and 1pm-7:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays 8:45am -1:15pm and 1pm -6:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet clients and their pets with a smile and enthusiasm as they enter the facility.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Provide information about services, pricing, and availability.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs for boarding, daycare, and grooming clients.
- Address customer concerns and complaints with empathy and efficiency.
- Get to know clients and their pets personally and treat all dogs and cats as your own.
Administrative Duties:
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for boarding, daycare, and grooming services.
- Maintain accurate records of pets’ stay, health information, and special instructions.
- Put together report cards, pet updates, and new client gift bags.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and manage the POS/Kennel system efficiently.
- Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and presentable.
Pet Care Coordination:
- Communicate special instructions regarding pet care to the appropriate staff.
- Monitor and update client files to ensure all pet vaccinations and health records are current.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating pet pickup and drop-off times.
- Be able to manage moving pets in and out of lobby areas safely, calmly, and efficiently.
Facility Operations:
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide a seamless and positive experience for pets and clients.
Marketing and Sales:
- Promote additional services and products to clients.
- Assist with social media updates and marketing initiatives as needed.
- Encourage client feedback and reviews to improve service quality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience, 1-2 years, in a customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Be accountable and on-time.
- Comfort and experience in handling various types of pets. Must love animals, specifically dogs and cats.
- Good computer skills, including familiarity with booking and scheduling software.
- Complete training on POS/Kennel software, the Dog Gurus, CPR, and First Aid.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working around animals of various sizes and temperaments.
