Working with dogs is incredibly rewarding, but it is also hands-on work. Our team members spend their days supervising and interacting with dogs, cleaning kennels and play areas, feeding, sanitizing, lifting supplies, and yes, cleaning up after dogs. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, and takes pride in providing exceptional care and maintaining a clean, healthy environment.
Wag Inn has been voted "Best Boarding Facility in Ulster County" by Chronogram Magazine for three consecutive years, and we're looking for dependable, hardworking animal lovers to join our team.
What You’ll Do
- Care for our four-legged guests like they’re your own — feeding, watering, and giving them cozy, clean bedding
- Keep kennels and common areas sparkling clean and sanitized which includes removing dog poop
- Monitor each pet’s health and happiness throughout their stay
- Take dogs out for walks, playtime, and socialization
- Administer medications as directed
- Chat with pet parents and help them feel confident their pets are in great hands
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine love of animals and a team-player attitude
- Reliability, compassion, and a sense of humor (a must in this line of work!)
- Willingness to learn and grow — we provide hands-on training
