Job Summary
Waffle Me Up is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations. This position will assist with food preparation, kitchen organization, cleaning, and general support duties while helping the kitchen team maintain efficient service and high standards of food quality and sanitation.
Responsibilities
Assist cooks and kitchen team members with daily food preparation.
Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients as directed.
Keep food preparation areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Assist with assembling and preparing menu items according to established procedures.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen workstations throughout the shift.
Store food and ingredients properly according to food-safety procedures.
Help receive, organize, and stock kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Remove trash and maintain clean floors and work areas.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen, restaurant, food-service, or food-preparation experience is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
Ability to follow instructions and established food-preparation procedures.
Positive and professional attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
