Role Description The Unit Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Columbus, OH, responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring an excellent guest experience. This role includes managing and leading Associates on each shift, scheduling staff, and maintaining a positive, inclusive work environment. The Unit Manager monitors food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and safety standards, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities also include managing inventory and cash handling, supporting training and development of team members, and meeting performance and sales goals. The role requires hands-on leadership on the floor, active problem solving, and effective communication with both Customers and Associates.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Basic financial and operational skills, including cash handling, inventory control, and understanding of sales and cost management.
- Ability to maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations is preferred; prior management or shift lead experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, hospitality, or management is beneficial.
