Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and assist guests with selections through effective upselling techniques.
Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation and special requests are met.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
Process payments efficiently while handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for incoming guests.
Stay informed about menu changes, new offerings, and restaurant policies to provide knowledgeable service.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong math skills for accurate order processing and handling payments.
Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is beneficial.
