Dental Imaging Director of Operations

Dental Technology Center of Hawaii is seeking a Dental Radiology Tech and Manager to support safe, compliant imaging and help maintain smooth daily operations in our patient care environment.

The Dental Radiology Tech and Manager is responsible for performing dental radiographic procedures while ensuring imaging is accurate, safe, and compliant with applicable regulations. In this role, you will also help coordinate day-to-day workflow to support an efficient, welcoming patient experience.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in patient care, safety practices, and leading by example in a fast-paced clinical setting.

• Take and process dental 3D and 2D digital radiographs using established protocols, ensuring image quality and proper patient positioning.

• Maintain radiology safety standards, including correct shielding practices, equipment handling, and adherence to exposure guidelines.

• Verify patient information and prepare patients for imaging in a clear, reassuring manner.

• Scheduling patients and coordinating routine operational tasks.

• Submitting when appropriate to insurance

• Posting and collecting for all procedures

• Contribute to a clean, organized treatment environment by following infection prevention and sterilization/cleanup procedures.

• Basic knowledge of dental terminology

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and patient positioning fundamentals.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with clinical protocols.

• Proficiency in working in a team environment and maintaining a professional, patient-centered approach.

• Reliable attendance and the ability to manage multiple tasks during busy clinical periods.

• Prior experience in a dental office setting, including radiology workflow responsibilities.

• Experience taking ownership of day-to-day operational tasks or supporting team coordination.

• Familiarity with quality assurance practices for radiographic imaging.

• Strong communication skills with patients and team members, especially in high-traffic situations.

Hourly rate: $28.00
