Overview:
An Equity Mining Vehicle Acquisition Specialist, proactive customer outreach using equity mining tools with used vehicle acquisition strategies. The primary goals are to generate incremental sales by identifying trade-in/upgrade opportunities from existing customers (via equity mining) and to acquire high-quality used vehicles for the dealership's inventory, often by purchasing directly from customers. Friendly service that keeps our customers coming back.

  • Actively prospect and contact customers from the dealership's existing database (sales, service, and CRM records) using proprietary equity mining tools (e.g., AutoNation’s EMT, Automotive Mastermind, or similar software) to identify those with positive equity or favorable trade-in positions.
  • Drive incremental vehicle sales by reaching out to customers who are good candidates for upgrading/trading in their current vehicle, often with attractive terms to maintain or lower payments.
  • Acquire used vehicles directly from customers by appraising trade-ins, negotiating purchases, and completing buy transactions to build dealership inventory.
  • Identify conquest opportunities (non-customers) in the service drive or through other channels for potential acquisitions.
  • Schedule appraisal appointments, conduct vehicle evaluations, and present competitive offers to purchase vehicles.
  • Maximize customer retention, satisfaction, and profit margins on both sales and acquisitions.
  • Track performance metrics such as acquisition volume, sales generated from mining efforts, gross profit, and inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, finance, and used car departments to align on inventory needs and customer opportunities.
  • Follow up consistently with leads, manage high call/email volumes, and maintain detailed records in CRM systems.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some roles prefer associate's or bachelor's degree in business/sales).
  • Previous automotive sales, customer service, or retail experience preferred; prior exposure to car dealership operations is a strong plus.
  • Experience with equity mining tools, CRM software, or data-driven prospecting platforms (e.g., Automotive Mastermind) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities; comfort handling phone calls, texts, emails, and appointments.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean/safe driving record.

Ability to analyze basic vehicle equity data, market values, and payoff amounts
