PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing and putting away all dishes, performing cleaning tasks, and assisting with general kitchen operations.

DETAILED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Washes dishes, pots, and pans in dishwashing machines or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards.
• Puts away and stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
• Polishes all silverware, platters, chaffing dishes, and glasses as needed.
• Washes and polishes all stainless steel in the kitchen including, but not limited to, shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee area, refrigerators, and walk-ins.
• Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products and sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Collects, breaks down, and empties trash from kitchen areas.
• Washes trash bins, as necessary, and re-lines trash bins with new bags.
• Performs other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, storing foods after delivery, and transferring supplies between work areas, as necessary.
• Maintains inventories or soap, chemicals, and paper towels and relays needs to supervisor.
• Inspects floors and kitchen areas for cleanliness and safety and addresses any issues in a timely manner.
• Informs the Executive Chef of any equipment issues.
• Follows all relative food health and safety guidelines.
• Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor.
• Follows uniform and personal appearance standards, as well as all employee standards outlined in the employee handbook(s).

Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or General Manager.

• Ability to follow food health and safety guidelines.
• Level-headed with outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Capacity to be on your feet for long hours.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, rotate, climb, stand, push, lift, grasp, and reach.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various extreme weather conditions.
• Willingness to work with or around sharp utensils and harmful chemicals.
• Flexibility to work shifts over weekends and on holidays, as required.
