Job Description

Blue Ridge Mountain Club Property Owner’s Association, a mountain community located in Boone, NC, managed by CAMS (Community Association Management Services) is in search of a dedicated and vigilant Part-time Gate Attendant to join our security team.

The Gate Attendant will be responsible for monitoring access points, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, and providing excellent customer service to all visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to respond effectively to various situations that may arise.

Pay rate: $16/hourly

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
• Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to ensure safety and security.
• Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, utilizing first aid and CPR skills as necessary.
• Engage in conflict management to de-escalate situations and maintain a peaceful environment.
• Report any suspicious activities or breaches of security to law enforcement when required.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate measures.
• Maintain accurate records of all visitors, incidents, and activities occurring at the gate.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a militarized or law enforcement environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures; CPR certification is a plus.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with visitors and staff.
