Responsibilities
- Manage dishwashing and kitchen cleanliness.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers, ensuring proper techniques are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to health regulations
- Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and cleanup
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained in good working order
Qualifications
- Dishwashing.
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service operations is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry demonstrates valuable kitchen skills
