Job Summary:
We are seeking a Electrical Engineer to support the Perfect Power Initiative, focused on improving electric service reliability and reducing power outages. This role combines office-based project coordination with 20–30% local field travel to oversee utility distribution projects, coordinate crews, analyze outage data, and ensure timely project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate utility line crews, contractors, and engineering teams.
- Support outage planning, maintenance, and distribution infrastructure projects.
- Analyze utility data to identify reliability issues and assign field work.
- Track project schedules, documentation, and work orders.
- Conduct field visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Utilize Excel and utility systems for reporting and project coordination.
- Communicate with internal teams, contractors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field, OR Associate's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- 3 years of experience in utility distribution, field coordination, construction, maintenance, engineering support, or technical project coordination.
- Strong knowledge of electric distribution systems and line equipment.
- Proficient with computers, Excel, and mobile devices (tablets/iPads).
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel locally (20–30%).
