We are looking for a hands-on Shop Floor Supervisor to lead daily production activities in a gear manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production across CNC machining, gear cutting, and grinding operations
- Manage and support a team of 15-30 production employees
- Monitor production metrics (throughput, downtime, scrap rates)
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lead safety initiatives
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Scheduling teams
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, process optimization)
- 5 years in manufacturing; 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience with machining processes (turning, milling, hobbing, grinding, etc.)
- Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and measurement tools
- Experience managing shop floor teams and production schedules
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office
- Experience in gear manufacturing or heavy equipment industry
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge
- ISO 9001 or similar quality systems exposure
- Technical certification or associate degree

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
