We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Geologist to lead and support Phase II-IV site investigation, monitoring, and remediation projects. This role includes both hands-on fieldwork and supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will perform ASTM E1527-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, coordinate fieldwork, prepare technical reports, and communicate effectively with clients and regulators.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Geologist to lead and support Phase II-IV site investigation, monitoring, and remediation projects. This role includes both hands-on fieldwork and supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will perform ASTM E1527-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, coordinate fieldwork, prepare technical reports, and communicate effectively with clients and regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute Phase II, III, and IV investigations, monitoring programs, and remediation activities
- Perform hands-on fieldwork including sampling, logging, and site assessments
- Provide supervisory oversight of field teams and subcontractors; mentor junior staff
- Conduct ASTM E1527-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Design sampling plans, oversee QA/QC, and ensure data integrity
- Analyze geological and environmental data, interpret results, and prepare clear technical reports
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; represent the firm at site visits and meetings
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and proposal development
- Current, active Professional Geologist (PG) license - required
- Proven experience with Phase II-IV investigations, monitoring, and remediation projects
- Experience performing ASTM E1527-compliant Phase I ESAs
- Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on fieldwork and supervise field teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel to local job sites throughout the Bay Area and Northern California
- Relevant degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field
