We are seeking an experienced Senior Detailer to join the Engineering and Detailing Team. The position is ideally based in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area; however, remote work is available for the right candidate, with coordination required with the company's headquarters.
This role serves as a technical expert and quality control leader, responsible for comprehensive checking of complex shop tickets and erection drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, and adherence to internal and producer standards. The Senior Detailer will also mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement of QA/QC processes.

The Senior Detailer will also mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement of QA/QC processes.
Approximate Time Focus
- Design / Coordination Phase - 20%
- Shop Drawing / Checking Phase - 80%
- High-Level Quality Assurance: Perform detailed reviews of production shop tickets and erection drawings to ensure consistency with 3D models (Revit), architectural and structural contract documents, and producer standards.
- Complex Problem Solving: Review intricate geometries and connections, including architectural facades, parking structures, and data centers, ensuring manufacturability and efficient erection.
- Project Management: Monitor detailing and checking schedules to align with client production and erection timelines.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, feedback, and training to associate checkers and detailers to enhance overall team quality and efficiency.
- Client Coordination: Serve as a technical point of contact for producers, managing RFIs and resolving discrepancies professionally and clearly.
- Standards Development: Support leadership in refining QA/QC checklists and detailing standards to drive consistent, high-quality output.
- Experience: 7-10 years of detailing and checking experience within the precast concrete industry, including production, erection, or engineering workflows.
- Remote Competency: Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly in both onsite and remote environments.
- Education: Associate degree in Technology, Drafting, or Engineering preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Technical Expertise: Strong command of precast fabrication methods, erection logistics, and connection detailing.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency with precast detailing tools such as AutoCAD and Revit, along with Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
