Job Duties And Responsibilities
Review assigned projects during pursuit efforts and after award to assist with defining scope, developing schedules, determining work programs, and needed sub-consultants.
Leads a design team in performing project tasks.
Work and communicate effectively and regularly with private or municipal clients as well as state and federal agencies.
Participate in effective presentations to councils, the public and selection committees.
Ensures the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the engineering design, and improvement plan quality; compliance with established standards, procedures, codes and ordinances; adherence to design and project schedules; and provides adequate training, technical and administrative guidance, and instruction to personnel within the engineering team(s).
Mentors and coaches the staff and promotes a productive work environment.
Available to both clients and employees to the greatest extent possible.
Job Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering, AZ Professional Engineer's license or ability to quickly obtain AZ professional engineer registration.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Water/Wastewater related design.
Relevant experience shall include design of collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans.
Demonstrated leadership in a team atmosphere.
Must demonstrate ability to plan, organize, supervise, coordinate technical work, and satisfy clients.
Ability to communicate clearly, including speaking, listening, and writing.
Capacity to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills with limited supervision.
Must demonstrate technical understanding of industry design software.
Ability to promote corporate/office standards for safety and quality of work.
Ability to recognize a project's critical path and continually plan for project success.
