Welding Processes Utilized
- SMAW (Stick Welding)
- GMAW (MIG Welding)
- FCAW (Flux-Cored Welding)
- GTAW (TIG Welding)
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school or equivalent hands-on experience
- 6G welding certification from prior employment
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong measurement and basic math skills
- Proficiency reading a tape measure
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Knowledge of GMAW-STT (Surface Tension Transfer)
- Experience with SMAW 6010 downhill welding
- Read and interpret blueprints prior to beginning work
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials to specification
- Perform welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
- Inspect welds for bead size, quality, and conformance
- Clean weld joints and workpieces as required
- Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment
- Cut pipe using oxy-fuel torch or saw
- Operate mechanical beveling equipment
