Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage patient conditions through appropriate tests, labs, and evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans and provide patient counseling
- Perform minor procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care management
- Monitor patient progress and provide post-procedure and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Review and follow up on diagnostic reports (labs, imaging, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
- Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Identify patients requiring escalation and initiate emergency care when necessary
- Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (state-specific)
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- Active DEA license
- Malpractice insurance (or eligibility)
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
