A custom injection molding company operating 23 late-model injection molding machines (30-725 tons) within a 52,000 sq. ft. facility in Hattiesburg, MS. With more than 30 years in operation, the company credits its success to a dedicated, talented, and highly skilled workforce. Due to continued growth, the team is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker. The responsibilities and qualifications for the ideal candidate are listed below.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform or oversee preventative maintenance of molds and tooling and assess tool condition.
• Troubleshoot molds to ensure optimal performance.
• Design, build, and maintain end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, and automation equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop high-quality molds that meet specifications.
• Evaluate and implement engineering changes.
• Utilize advanced machining tools and techniques to create precise mold components.
• Implement tooling improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker in an injection molding environment.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM operations.
• Skilled in operating precision measuring tools with high accuracy.
• Strong understanding of mold design and mold maintenance.
• Expertise in operating CNC machinery, including CNC mills, wire EDM, EDM sinker, and manual machining equipment.
• Proficient in TIG and MIG welding; laser welding is helpful but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently or within a team.
