Production & Assembly Support
Production & Assembly Support
- Provide technical support to production teams on assembly and manufacturing issues.
- Assist in initial and subsequent builds of new systems, prototypes, and design concepts.
- Prepare proposed design changes or revisions to improve product functionality or resolve issues.
- Support accuracy audits for bills of materials (BOM) and routings; identify and analyze root causes of discrepancies.
- Participate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives including 5S, value stream mapping, and workflow optimization.
- Continuously identify and implement cost reduction opportunities to improve assembly efficiency and finished product cost.
- Support and promote Lean culture throughout the facility, driving improvements in assembly workflow and procedures.
- Research new manufacturing technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to current processes.
- Review tooling and fixture requirements to enhance assembly processes and reduce inefficiencies.
- Assist with production planning activities to ensure readiness for upcoming demand.
- Prepare documentation for design changes and revisions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on product improvements and assembly methods.
- Contribute to audits related to BOM accuracy, routing, and design validation.
- Certified Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably involving cable assembly, portable power distribution equipment, or control cabinet assembly.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Just In Time (JIT) environments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks design software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a production setting.
- Self motivated, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
