Manufacturing Cost Accountant

Our Client is seeking a Cost Accountant to support product costing, inventory controls, and month-end accounting activities across multiple locations. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented who can manage costing accuracy, reconcile inventory movements, and assist with financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support annual cost rolls, standard cost updates, and job order variance analysis.
• Reconcile inventory, scrap, metal balances, and cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit support.
• Prepare inventory turn, metal turn, excess and obsolete, and labor reporting.
• Help maintain costing and inventory data within the system and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing accounting, inventory control, or cost accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with job costing or inventory systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work across departments and support both accounting and operations needs.
