Position Summary

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Key Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
- Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment breakdowns during production.
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they impact production.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair heavy industrial processing and manufacturing equipment.
- Rebuild and repair:
- Pumps
- Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
- Valves
- Blowers
- Motors and mechanical drive systems
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, including:
- Relays
- Motors
- Motor starters
- Fuses
- Drives
- Control wiring
- Understand the basic operation and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment.
- Work with VFDs, motor controllers, and industrial control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical distribution and related building systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Diagnose leaks, pressure issues, valve failures, cylinder problems, and related equipment failures.
- Maintain pumps, compressors, blowers, and other fluid/air-powered systems.
- Support maintenance activities involving:
- CNC machining equipment
- Metal forming equipment
- Heat-treating equipment
- Light automation
- Material handling equipment
- Cranes and forklifts
- Assist with equipment improvements and modifications to improve reliability, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Perform basic fabrication and equipment modifications as required.

- Perform welding and other fabrication activities when necessary.
- Maintain and troubleshoot facility-related systems, including:
- Air compressors

- Work with the Maintenance Manager to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Procedures (PMPs) and supporting documentation.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document maintenance activities.
- Follow established work plans, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Perform all work in accordance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements and procedures.
- Report environmental or safety concerns to appropriate management.
- Complete required training related to hazardous waste, emergency response, and environmental compliance.
- Participate in scheduled 24-hour emergency/on-call coverage.
- Respond to critical equipment issues during assigned on-call periods.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school, technical certificate, or equivalent vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery independently.
