What are the responsibilities and job description for the Install Technician position at W3Global?
The ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience in the installation of projectors, large flat screen displays, speakers, projection screens, and A/V receivers. They would also have extensive experience in the installation of infrastructure cabling, cable termination, rack wiring. A solid background in network configuration, and basic computer skills are also a plus. Each employee should possess a good attitude and the ability to think outside the box when presented with a problem.

- Security Installer
- Best Buy Magnolia Installer
- Journeyman Electrician or electrician's apprentices.
- Network or cable installers
- Car Audio installers
- Savant / Crestron / Control4 Programming experience
- Must: be able to interact with high end clientele, designers and contractors.
- Have the ability to work independently and with other employees.
- Have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
- Be highly motivated
- Have the ability to quickly and logically troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of residential construction including framing/structure, low voltage, electrical, plumbing and HVAC is plus but not all required.
- Basic knowledge/ understanding of: Home Theater, Home Automation, - Distributed Audio/Video, surveillance systems, Phone Systems, and Data Networks.
- Ability to identify and terminate all the different types of cable used in a typical audio / video installation
- Be able to comfortably work power and hand tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to work flexible hours, although most work is 9-5.
- Anyone with experience installing and or programming Control4, Savant, Crestron, URC, Elan

- Pre-Wiring low voltage cabling in new construction homes.
- Retrofitting wiring in pre-existing higher end homes.
- Installing and terminating various kinds of low-voltage cables.
- Configuration calibration of audio and video systems.
- Replacing light switches & adding in wall outlets.
- Installing IP CCTV systems
