Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine, scheduled, and preventive maintenance on production machinery and systems to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
- Quickly respond to equipment failures or emergency repair needs and resolve issues in a timely, safe, and reliable manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as motors, conveyors, drive systems, and related machinery.
- Conduct inspections and safety audits on all equipment, identifying potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining tasks to support equipment repair and modification.
- Assist in installing, aligning, and commissioning new equipment and machinery.
- Support upgrades, modifications, and process improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement improvement initiatives and prevent recurring mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and inspection documentation.
- Ensure compliance with facility safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures, safety guidelines, and established maintenance standards.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic welding, machining, and fabrication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions (heat, noise, confined spaces, heights).
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, or controls systems.
- Trade school or technical certification in maintenance, mechanics, mechatronics, or industrial technology.
