- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Develop comprehensive cost control strategies to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimation processes.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assess project requirements and timelines.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Conduct site visits to gather information on construction site conditions and requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs and project scopes for review by stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field with a strong understanding of cost estimation processes.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices is essential.
- Proficiency in using estimation software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is required.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with contractors and suppliers.
