We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients navigate complex family law issues from start to finish.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 1-5 years of legal experience.
- Strong writing, research, and oral communication skills.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively on complex matters.
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms (ex. Westlaw).
- Prior experience in family law.
- Ability to represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations.
- Familiarity with family law accounting principles.
- Manage a caseload of family law matters from intake to resolution.
- Prepare legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, letters, motions, written discovery, settlement agreements, judgments, subpoenas, and trial briefs.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant laws and precedents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.
- Travel to offices and courts throughout Southern California as required.
- Exhibit strong time management and billing discipline, consistently maintaining at least 140 billable hours per month.
