Key Responsibilities
- Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed takeoffs using industry-standard software.
- Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain competitive bids and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Create project budgets and track expenditures to ensure profitability.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and generate reports as required.
- Contract Review: Review and analyze contract documents to ensure alignment with estimates and project scopes.
- Proficiency in takeoff software (Smartsheet, Auto Desk, Pro Core, Blue Beam).
- Microsoft Word and Excel expertise.
- Experience with Gantt chart scheduling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to thrive in a small team environment with a "can-do" attitude and a willingness to pitch in where needed.
- Minimum of five years of experience in estimating and project management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
