Equipment Repair Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Equipment Repair Technician based in Buffalo, NY. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a range of recycling, waste reduction, and dock equipment. The technician will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, complete routine maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Providing timely, high-quality service and maintaining clear documentation and communication with customers and team members are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in equipment
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Respond to service calls and provide professional, customer-focused support
• Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding service status and recommendations
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance and repair; appliance repair experience preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair procedures
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer locations
• Experience in recycling or waste management equipment is a plus
