- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope of work, ensuring alignment with project goals and budgets.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from construction drawings to determine accurate material quantities and costs.
- Assist in bid preparation by compiling all estimating data, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Support cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle by tracking expenses and managing change orders effectively.
- Engage in construction estimating processes that incorporate construction site experience, construction management principles, and contract terms to deliver precise bids.
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems within commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), construction estimating techniques, and cost control strategies.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital markup and HeavyBid for estimating is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated electrical experience coupled with construction site familiarity to accurately assess scope and risks.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, project management principles, and the overall construction process.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation thoroughly.
