Drafter – Architectural Metal & Glass

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team supporting an architectural metal and glass client in Orangeburg, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans that meet project specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural and technical drawings for metal and glass installations, including storefronts and curtain walls.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on project changes and client feedback.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to create precise drafts.
• Maintain organized and accurate documentation of drawings and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Assist in coordinating with fabricators and installers to clarify design details.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Drafter in architectural metal, glass, storefronts, curtain walls, or related construction fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant drafting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings.
• Good understanding of architectural plans and construction processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in drafting preferred.
• Familiarity with architectural metal and glass systems is a plus.
