Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Compliance
- Establish, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards
- Ensure materials comply with PennDOT, PTC, and applicable industry requirements
- Maintain QC testing records, certifications, reports, and documentation
- Supervise and support QC technicians and staff
- Ensure adequate QC coverage across all production locations
- Coordinate material testing, inspections, and equipment calibration
- Troubleshoot material performance issues and develop corrective action plans
- Collaborate with production, dispatch, transportation, and sales teams to ensure mix accuracy and product consistency
- Address customer quality concerns and technical inquiries
- Review QC and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
Required / Preferred
- Minimum 3 years of Quality Control / QA Technician experience
- 5 years of QA/QC leadership or management experience (flexible for strong hands-on candidates)
- Experience working with inspection agencies and regulatory staff
- Valid driver's license
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I
- NECEPT Concrete Field Certification
- NECEPT Aggregate Technician Certification
- PennDOT District Plant Certification
- NECEPT Asphalt Plant Level 2 Certification
- Combination of office, plant, and construction site environments
