Responsibilities
- Overseeing construction projects' subcontractors and effectively managing carpenters per the construction timeline provided by the construction project manager.
- Must be able to self-perform rough and finish carpentry as needed per project.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to carpenters and other construction workers.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes to keep the jobsite safe, clean, and orderly.
- Interpret and implement blueprints to ensure project success.
- Address any client concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the project are available and properly maintained.
- Order materials and equipment as required for the project with reference to our procurement department.
- Coordinate with suppliers to receive materials on site.
- Provide quality control for all completed works.
Qualifications
- Must reside in Wisconsin.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Proven experience as a carpenter foreman or similar supervisory role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Organized, task-driven, and able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Good physical condition/stamina required as general labor will be needed.
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED in a skilled trade will be a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years foreman experience and 3 years superintendent experience in the industry.
- Ability to shift tasks at a moment's notice.
- Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
- Pay is based on experience.
