Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling complex commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of commercial litigation.
• Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Maintain case files, litigation calendars, and monitor court deadlines.
• Coordinate state and federal court filings while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules.
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and other litigation-related events.
• Assist with document management, discovery, and e-discovery.
• Communicate with clients, courts, experts, opposing counsel, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of client information.
• Perform additional legal and administrative duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Legal Assistant experience, preferably supporting Commercial Litigation or Business Litigation.
• Strong experience preparing pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Experience managing litigation calendars, court deadlines, and attorney schedules.
• Familiarity with state and federal court filing procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
