Key Responsibilities
- Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling and turning operations in Mastercam; generate accurate G-code and clear setup documentation.
- Set up machines, and prove out first-article parts on the shop floor.
- Design fixtures and other work-holding solutions in SolidWorks.
- Collaborate closely with machinists and quality personnel to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives that reduce setup time, extend tool life, and streamline documentation.
- 1 years of CNC programming experience (vocational background considered).
- Proficiency in Mastercam for milling or turning; familiarity with SolidWorks for basic fixture design.
- Ability to interpret GD&T and inspection requirements for tight-tolerance aluminum, stainless-steel, and titanium components.
- Working knowledge of G-code, cutter compensation, probing macros, and standard shop safety practices.
- U.S. work authorization (ITAR compliance).
- 3 years programming complex multi-axis parts, including 5-axis milling or mill-turn.
- Experience designing fixtures for high-volume production.
- Familiarity with AS9100 documentation practices and first-article inspection requirements.
- Exposure to statistical process control (SPC) or data-driven process optimization.
- Mentoring or training experience with operators / setup personnel.
- Hourly Rate: $25 - $40/hr DOE
