Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment to manufacture precision components per specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust offsets/feeds/speeds as needed to maintain quality.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining approach and requirements.
- Complete routine machine checks and basic maintenance to support optimal operation and uptime.
- Work collaboratively with the shop team to improve throughput, quality, and process efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist (or similar machinist role) in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of machining methods, setups, tooling, and CNC programming fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of quality standards and inspection practices, including use of precision instruments.
- Ability to accurately read and execute work from prints/engineering drawings and CAD data.
- Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and troubleshooting/problem-solving ability.
- Proficient with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related tools.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and setup support.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications independently.
- Experience with GIBBS CAM and/or Haas programming is a plus.
- Candidates should have their own tools or be willing to participate in a Company Tool Program.
- Must be able to produce parts from prints with minimal supervision, using proper and safe machining practices.
- Ideal profile: 5 years of experience, strong self-starter mindset, dependable and detail-oriented.
