Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Closer/Escrow Agent to support the final stages of real estate transactions. This role is critical in ensuring all closing documents are accurate, compliant, and executed seamlessly. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of mortgage processes, escrow procedures, and financial services, along with the ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the closing process for real estate transactions, ensuring all contractual and legal requirements are met
- Prepare, review, and verify closing documents including settlement statements, loan agreements, contracts, and disclosures in compliance with FNMA and TILA regulations
- Conduct credit analysis and underwriting reviews to ensure borrower eligibility and adherence to Fair Housing regulations
- Act as a liaison between lenders, borrowers, title companies, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction flow
- Verify financial details such as escrow deposits, taxes, and insurance calculations for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with mortgage servicing standards and loan processing procedures
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions and escrow files
- Utilize 10-key skills to input and manage data within loan processing systems
- Proven experience in loan origination, mortgage servicing, or escrow/closing roles
- Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, and mortgage regulations
- Familiarity with escrow procedures, TILA disclosures, contracts, and banking operations
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance requirements
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in financial services
- Experience working in high-volume closing environments
