What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bridge Inspector position at W3Global?
Overview
- We are seeking a Bridge Inspector to support and lead bridge inspection efforts across Indiana.
- Assist with onsite bridge inspections, data entry, and bridge inspection reports.
- Manage bridge inspection equipment, schedule bridge inspection personnel etc.
- Eventually lead onsite bridge inspections.
- Work and coordinate with roadway, water, environmental, survey, and utility engineers.
- Be a Registered Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); or hold bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology from an ABET college or university and be a registered EIT; or, in lieu of degree, 3 years of equivalent work experience with a focus on bridge design, construction, or maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of INDOT bridge inspection guidelines is optional.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willing to travel for bridge inspections (day and overnight trips as required).
- Willing to eventually become an Indiana Bridge Inspection Team Leader.
