This role requires a strong understanding of financial statements, account reconciliations, and proficiency in accounting software. The Bookkeeper will play a key role in maintaining financial health and supporting management with insights into financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records
- Handle tour accounting reconciliations
- Utilize AgilLink, Excel, and other accounting tools efficiently
- Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain organized financial records for audit readiness
- Assist with annual workers' compensation insurance audits by providing required documentation
- Prepare and submit payroll to third-party providers in a timely manner
- Review, code, and process credit card transactions
- Track insurance coverage to ensure appropriate client protection
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tour managers, assistants, and related personnel
- Respond promptly to emails and support day-to-day financial inquiries
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations
- Solid understanding of financial statements, including:
- Balance Sheet
- Income Statement
- Cash Flow Statement
- Chart of Accounts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the music or entertainment industry is a plus
