Key Responsibilities
- Handle insurance and personal injury defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Manage an independent caseload and develop case strategies.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, motion practice, and trials.
- Evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and settlement opportunities.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties.
- Monitor case deadlines and maintain accurate litigation files.
- Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and support staff.

- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active New York Bar admission required.
- Prior experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or general liability defense required.
- Strong litigation, legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience with pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and case management.
- Strong communication and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to handle matters in New York City, Long Island, and surrounding jurisdictions as needed.
Hybrid / Remote flexibility available. The position is based in Farmingdale, NY.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
