Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage and handle a diverse caseload from start to finish, including case evaluation, strategy development, and execution.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court, including arguing motions, and participating in settlement negotiations.
- Maintain regular and open communication with clients, providing updates and explaining legal strategies and potential outcomes.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to ensure the highest level of service to clients.
- Stay current on relevant legal developments and changes in laws to provide informed legal advice and strategies.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to California State Bar and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage cases or transactions independently.
- Strong litigation or transactional experience, depending on the practice area.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Experience in labor and employment law.
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes or transactional achievements.
- Familiarity with Clio.
