What You'll Do
- Handle a broad range of civil defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery.
- Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
- Attend hearings in both Nevada State and Federal Courts.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurers.
- Collaborate closely with experienced litigators while progressively assuming greater responsibility.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Nevada Bar admission (required).
- Additional state bar admissions are a plus.
- Approximately 3-5 years of civil defense litigation experience.
- Comfortable making court appearances in both State and Federal Court.
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active files.
- Stable employment history demonstrating long-term commitment and professional growth.
- Eager to learn, receptive to mentorship, and interested in building a long-term career with the firm.
Bonus & Incentives
- Annual performance bonus ranging from $5,000 to $40,000 based on fees billed.
- 10% origination incentive on gross fees collected from matters personally originated.
