Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination: Assist Project Managers in developing schedules, tracking budgets, and ensuring proper allocation of resources; help coordinate on-site construction activities.
- Documentation & Control: Manage project files, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, permits, and compliance documentation.
- Financial Support: Track project expenditures, assist in processing invoices, support procurement, and manage cost-related documentation.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate clear communication between team members, subcontractors, vendors, and clients; participate in or lead project meetings to ensure information is shared effectively.
- Quality & Safety Oversight: Conduct site inspections, help enforce safety protocols, and monitor project work to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
- Problem-Solving & Support: Anticipate and troubleshoot challenges during the project lifecycle while recommending proactive solutions.
- Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field - or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably supporting project management or field engineering functions
- Familiarity with construction project management software (Trimble ProjectSight, Procore, Microsoft Project)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication (verbal/written), organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional project team
- Availability to travel to job sites and work onsite as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- 5 years of experience in construction project support roles
- Knowledge of estimating, blueprint reading, and construction methods/materials
- Experience with field-based reporting, procurement, and contractor coordination
